Excursions

Pelion Terra is the ideal starting point...

...for excursions to all points of interest - landmarks and access points.

While we don't offer organized excursions, we will tell you all about the amazing places you could visit!

Milies - Vizitsa

Visit Anthimos Gazi's hometown, Milies, especially known for the Church of the Archangels and the Historical Library.

You will continue to the imposing Vizitsa, the village with the most mansions.

Those who wish can optionally hike. In these two traditional villages, you will find the most beautiful mansions in Pelion.

Chania - Tsagarada - Zagora

Go through a fantastic route to picturesque Chania.

The first stop is Tsagarada, through Kissos, with running waters, beeches, chestnut trees, and arched bridges.

From there, continue the route to Mouresi, Anilio, and arrive at the famous Zagora village with a lot to do and many activities.

Portaria - Makrinitsa

We recommend a short 2km excursion from Portaria to Makrinitsa.

You will see famous mansions and the incredible view from Makrinitsa Square overlooking Volos and the Pagasitic Gulf, old churches, and the Folklore museum.

You will also have the opportunity to explore the narrow streets of Makrinitsa and Portaria.

Pagasetic Gulf

We recommend a very nice excursion from Volos harbor with certified boats and a guided day cruise to the Pagasitic Gulf and to Trikeri, mainly during the summer and until the end of September.

Beaches - East Pelion

Our suggestion is during the summer months to visit the beaches behind Pelion which are many and beautiful.

There are many options to choose from, between Mylopotamos, Ai Gianni, Agios Dimitri, Damouchari, Horefto, Agios Saranda, Fakistra, Papa Nero, and many others!
